After wrapping up the season at Elko Speedway (MN) Saturday night, the RHR Midwest Syndicate team hauled to Jefferson Speedway on the final points day of the year with drivers Chris “The Panda” Flynn, Thomas Poretsky, and Easton Chaffee!
After arriving, we found out our drivers would have to finish top-2 in one of the Last Chance Qualifier races to make the show, as this was a multi-day race weekend for the track. Thankfully, they granted us extra practice and a qualifying session to help make our boys more confident!
Pretsky raced his way in by winning his Last Chance race! Unfortunately, a hard wreck early in the first feature left him nursing a roughed up race car throughout both features, but still brought home a top-15 in the first race and a 10th place finish in the second.
Flynn had raced his way from the rear of his LCQ to a transfer position, but contact with another car left him without a front bumper. The team reattached in the hot pit, but he was restarting in the rear again and wasn’t able to make the show.
Chaffee finished 7th in his LCQ, but earned a 3rd place finish in the non-feature bonus race the track ran at the end of the night.
Proud of these boys for persevering all day and having fun throughout the experience!
